Without authenticity we are merely following trends, seeking attention and attempting to package expression in an acceptable format. Our world is saturated with content. More than ever, the challenge is to be authentic storytellers. As practitioners, once authenticity has been established, how do we nurture a space where this creative process does not become insular, but is instead, vibrant with possibility through collective inspiration...? Salon is a space that honours the creative process, using art and its making as a pathway for exploring our place in the world.

FRIDAY 26TH JUNE
Join artist Chapman Hamborg for an evening of portrait drawing from life at Windout Farm in collaboration with Salon. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the farm, this workshop will explore the fundamentals of portrait drawing, including proportion, light and shadow, shading, and expressive mark-making.
Chapman will begin with a brief introduction to his work and a live demonstration of his drawing process before guiding students through drawing from a live model.
